<description>Not really atypical of a big labor leader from what I have experienced. There is very much let leaders lead mentality that I have found amongst union leaders associated with the Change to Win Coalition, had similar experiences with AFL-CIO leaders as well in my young life. Grassroot efforts and local union democracy get in the way of that. Very much about control and power instead of empowering our fellow workers/citizens. Find it the same here at Yale with the GESO which is a shame since we need a grad student/researcher union.
